Attorneys Sweet, Hubbard and Phillips Receive Defense Verdict in Spinal Cord Case
Kyle Sweet, Naureen Hubbard and Corey Phillips received a Defense Verdict in an Oklahoma District Court in a week long jury trial. The case involved defending a Orthopedic Spinal Surgeon who placed a Spinal Cord Stimulator. The Stimulator was a paddle type stimulator. A known complication of hematoma occurred which was alleged to have caused paralysis and millions of dollars in future care needs. This is an important win as the rates of Spinal Cord Stimulator cases in the United States is growing rapidly with the implantation of devices being used extensively to combat chronic use of Opiods.
